All About Me
I am a college student preparing for a career as a secondary history educator. Based in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, I balance my academic pursuits with the responsibilities of homeownership and caring for several dogs, cats, and chickens. These experiences have strengthened my sense of responsibility, community, and adaptability—qualities I aim to bring into the classroom.
My professional goal is to foster critical thinking, historical inquiry, and civic engagement among students. I believe history education is not simply about memorizing dates and events, but about cultivating an understanding of how the past shapes our present and future. My teaching philosophy emphasizes equity, accessibility, and active learning: students should see themselves as participants in history, capable of questioning narratives, analyzing evidence, and connecting lessons to their own lives.
Through this e‑portfolio, I invite you to explore my academic work, teaching philosophy, and developing skills as I prepare to enter the field of education
